PSA-BDP International Romania is a new player on the Romanian market, with extensive experience in port logistics and multimodal transport solutions, combining the expertise of Asian port operator PSA with the freight forwarding and logistics skills of the former American group BDP. The new entity, which is backed by one of the largest international investment funds, has ambitious plans for developing its business in Europe, and Romania – along with Poland and Turkey- is a key pillar in the construction of its medium- and long-term business plan. In parallel with the development of sea, air, and road freight forwarding services, PSA-BDP is analyzing growth in warehousing and contract logistics, as well as the establishment of an operational center in the Port of Constantza, alongside an intermodal service.
PSA-BDP International Romania was established in October 2023, offering three standard services: air, sea, and full truckload shipping. Subsequently, during 2024, the services diversified, with multimodal transport and special projects (oversized cargo) being added to the portfolio.
Along with the Romanian branch, a subsidiary was also established in Poland, and further expansions/acquisitions are planned for the future. Big ambitions for the Romanian market: a top position In Poland, Loconi Intermodal S.A., one of the largest rail operators, has already been acquired, and in Turkey, Alıșan Lojistik A.Ş., an international transport provider and the largest road transport operator of bulk and liquid cargo, with warehouses throughout the country, has been acquired. In our country, too, there is a desire to diversify services, so a possible local takeover can be ruled out.

Record results in the first two years of operation
2024 was PSA-BDP International Romania’s first full year of operation, ending with a turnover of three million euros. 2025 brought a double turnover and an operating profit 150% higher than the previous year. In operational terms, 2025 closed with nearly 1,000 tons transported by air and over 3,000 TEUs controlled by PSA-BDP.
The best-selling service in Romania so far has been maritime transport – from a numerical perspective, but the results achieved in the air and road transport segments have also been very good.
An expanded team and bold projects for the coming period
The good results in 2025 were achieved with the same group of 11 employees that started out the previous year. Development plans for 2026 include expanding the team and adding certain services – warehousing and an integrated contract logistics structure, with the aim of establishing a a footprint in Constanta Port.
