Ahead Logistics is the Romanian branch of the German Group Ahead Logistics GmbH. The company is investing continuously in modern technology in order to increase the level of transport and storage services offered to the customers from retail business, FMCG and industrial production.
The transport activity has developed lately also to courier services and last mile distribution. The forwarding activity grows constantly and so is the logistics services, supported by a cross-dock hub and storage facility.
Logistics and storage
The company owns a logistics centre with the total surface of 117,000 m2, near Ploiești Industrial Park (about 9 km on DN 72) and connected with two railway lines to the national grid, where there is a 13,400 m2 warehouse (including the 5,000 m2 project for general cargo) and an extra 16,000 m2 concrete platform for containers storage. The warehouse takes advantage of safety systems and LED lighting system, which is more economical and ecological. The company invested also in multifunctional equipment for pallets and in an ERP + WMS, which allows a better management of the activity.

Domestic and international transport
Ahead Logistics Group has a total fleet of over 100 trucks and in Romania the fleet has been modernized with EURO 6 Step D and Step E units, at the moment all the fleet being produced after 2018, (including 15 new Mercedes-Benz trucks production 2023 and 2024). Now, in Romania the fleet has more than 50 unit trucks + refrigerated semitrailers and also 20 to refrigerated chassis. Since 2024, the company operates also the first electric van Ford eTransit, for the parcel distribution activity. The company offers several competitive advantages: rapidity in executing orders, modern vehicles, specialized staff in carrying out orders 24/24, continuous monitoring of the trucks via GPS and a complete insurance package (CASCO, CMR internal/external up to EUR 100,000, Green Card).
The Romanian company has restarted the international transport activity with its own fleet of modern trucks in order to be present on all markets. At the same time, on the domestic transport, Ahead Logistics wants to maintain a name, a portfolio, the connections. ”We know the market very well, so we can easily find solutions to any problem“, said Mircea Mănescu, General Manager of Ahead Logistics.

Ahead offers, with the support of its German shareholder, domestic and international transport services in the best condition and prices, from Germany, France, Benelux, Spain, Scandinavian countries etc.
The company wants to offer a mix between 50 over 200 subcontracted trucks (for clients with small and variable volumes).
