La sfarsitul lui mai s-au acordat premiile SEE Real Estate pentru cele mai importante proiecte si companii din regiunea Europei de sud-est pe 2009. Astfel, Jones Lang LaSalle a primit premiile de Office si Retail Agency of the Year, dar si Overall Company of the Year.
Pentru Bucharest AFI Palace Cotroceni, AFI Europe a castigat distinctia de Shopping Centre of the Year si Overall Project of the Year. Iar dezvoltatorul a primit premiul Retail Developer of the Year.
Premiul Overall Professional of the Year i-a fost acordat lui Bryan Jardine, Wolf Theiss.
Helios Phoenix a primit doua distinctii, Warehouse Developer of the Year si Industrial Development of the Year, pentru Olympian Park Brasov. Alt proiect premiat a fost Militari Shopping Center al Atrium European Real Estate.
GTC si-a adjudecat premiul pentru Office Developer of the Year si Overall Developer of the Year. Premiul Office Development of the Year a fost acordat pentru City Business Centre din Timisoara, al Modatim Investment.
DTZ a castigat Property Management Firm of the Year si Warehouse Agency of the Year, Gardiner&Theobald a fost desemnat Professional Service Provider of the Year si Project Management Firm of the Year.
BCR a fost desemnata Banca Anului, Chapman Taylor a fost desemnata Architectural Firm of the Year, iar Salans, Law Firm of the Year. Colliers International a primit premiul pentru Residential Agency of the Year.
Gala de premiere a fost precedata de o serie de discutii pe diferite domenii in Europa de sud-est (Romania, Serbia, Croatia si Bulgaria), importanta constructiilor „verzi“, HR si salarii, piata rezidentiala, dezvoltare si investitii, depozitare si logistica, retail.
Concluzia comuna a fost ca, desi criza a lovit puternic aceasta zona, iar pentru majoritatea domeniilor de activitate salariile au scazut, unele proiecte au fost stopate, dar sunt multe altele care au fost duse la sfarsit cu succes si primele semne de revigorare se vor simti din 2011.
